IT'S HERE! The Howard & Erna Soldan Dog Park The Friends of Greater Lansing Dog Parks is a not-for-profit organization with an all volunteer membership made up of dog lovers just like you. Our goal is to create and support public, off-leash dog parks for the greater Lansing area. The park is made possible largely through a generous donation by Howard Soldan II and Soldan's Feeds & Pet Supplies. Hours: We operate year-round on the same hours as Hawk Island park. Open at 7 a.m. or 8 a.m. (depending on season) and close 1/2 hour after sunset. Cost: The dog park is FREE. Soldan Park is owned by the City of Lansing and operated by Ingham County Parks. Membership fees and donations to Friends of Greater Lansing Dog Parks support maintenance and development of dog parks. Parking: Hawk Island park does charge for parking on weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day. There is a $2 per day fee for Ingham County residents and $4 per day fee for all others. What is there to do?
Park Rules
Location: The Soldan Dog Park is located just north of Hawk Island County Park. The dog park's main entrance is through the park. You may also access the park from the west off the River Trail in Scott Woods. Drive to the very north end of Hawk Island parking area, and then walk a short distance (with your dog(s) on-leash), past the Hawk Island Maintenance Building, to the main entrance of the Soldan Dog Park.
